JESUS iS ALWAYS WiTH ME

A friend of mine once said that “Sometimes, songs are wandering souls with no home, and it's not until enough of them are written that the home is realized.”

This is one of those songs. A couple of years ago, I got to be a part of a collaborative project between CAFO and The Worship Initiative. The project that brought together a number of songwriters to write some worship songs for the church to sing on behalf of the vulnerable. We ended up releasing 3 songs, but there were a number of other songs that just didn’t quite find a home. This is one of those songs.

Earlier this year, when I was in the middle of grieving the loss of a dream, this song was my comfort. It reminded me that Jesus’ presence is always. In the ups and the downs. It was a gift to my weary soul to put the finishing touches on this song, and now I leave it with you. May it remind you regardless of the season you’re in that Jesus is always with you.
